Rockcastle Mandolin
Looking for a truly unique sounding and head turning instrument? The Rockcastle electric mando, named after the birthplace of Harper, can go from traditional sounding bluegrass mando to a shredding contemporary monster! Eric Allen (Harper Guitar's national artist and sales rep) brought an idea to Jacob after seeing the need for a mando that could be a lead instrument. Jacob's design intent was to create a 4 string mando that felt like a custom guitar. It would need to have quick action, tons of tone options and lots of attitude. After a few prototypes, the Rockcastle was born!
Base price: $1400.00 (1,500.00 F Hole version)
Why 4 strings? After the Rockcastle mandos started showing up in our social media pages, we are asked this question quite often. Answer: 4 strings make this mando play like a guitar, allowing extra speed and bending!
